Its a very big Monday night for all of us here at Taylored Revival as we announce that this June we will be merging and consolidating Taylored Revival together with Vintro Paint NZ to trade as The Artisan Company Limited. This is an exciting but emotional time given the history with all our customers and clients, no words can really express the amazing journey we’ve had the last 8 years. So instead we have spent some time trawling through our archives to compile a video on our journey over those years with you; and in turn helping you to see why this was the natural progression that we are excited to be making today, please take a moment and have a look.
Taylored Revival customers can of course be assured that the same amazing service will continue; however in a somewhat different format. The Artisan Company which was also formed by Darrell and Dorophya is the company behind introducing and providing Vintro Paints throughout NZ; and as such Taylored Revival is a very important part of that brand as we take the heritage, experience and knowledge and merge it together with Vintro Paint NZ in forming The Artisan Company going forward, with the same people behind it, the same drive and passion, with the same continued personal involvement with all customers.
Some important points;
TR commission: We will continue with selected commissions works as per normal in our new studio. All booked commissioned works will continue and be completed under The Artisan Company
Paint Products and tools: can be purchased and access these anytime through our website with a 1-2 working day delivery now that couriers have resumed back to a more normal state, with strong continued support both over the phone, online or through video.
Existing purchases and backorders will all stay with the same terms and will be fulfilled as soon as possible.
Any gift cards or store credits will all be transferred to The Artisan Company and all loyalty points from TR will be passed over to The Artisan Company in due course with no loss of any accumulated points and these can be claimed against paint purchases, online workshops or artisanal home decor.
The TR furniture gallery and physical retail options will no longer be available nor will our physical workshops.
The Artisan Company presently operates from a different site from TR where its has its warehouse and studio facilities and is not open for retail.
In many ways it will be business as usual but in others ways not.
However we are very excited to have been working very hard behind the scenes over the last few months to create a completely new online experience which will be available very shortly; a website which will be highly information and visually rich whilst very intuitive, along with more products and inspiration than ever before.
Whilst this will be a big change it is also an exciting opportunity for us to consolidate our brands and businesses into one, allowing us to fully focus on bringing the Artisanal tools, products, paints and training to NZ. Its the culmination of many years hard work and great relationships and we look forward to giving all our customers a continued amazing experience through The Artisan Company.
You will start seeing the changes appear through our websites and social media pages in the coming weeks and of course please feel free to contact us for any enquiries through to revive@tayloredrevival.co.nz or on (09)273 7243.
We are so grateful for the wonderful memories and times we have had with all our customers and clients and we can not thank you enough for all the support and loyalty you have shown us in the last 8 years. We are excited to move onto this new challenge and journey and we are looking forward to taking you along with us in this new adventure. We hope you enjoyed reviewing the Video with us and from the bottom of our hearts, Thank you so, so much for being apart of our story and journey and we look forward to connecting with you even more through The Artisan Company
Our sincere thanks from Dorophya, Darrell and the TR team x
If you ever wanted to get a beautiful soft concrete or stone look then here we go through the basics using Vintro Chalk Paint™. This look can be extremely versatile. Works well in modern homes, monochromatic styling or pair with black for a more industrial look alternatively pair with crisp whites for coastal look. This is part of our Vintro Project Series which aims to help you create these looks with ease. The Concrete look is an intermediate look and will take approximately 2 - 3 hours in elapsed time depending upon your furniture item.
Our trained retailers have all the materials and knowledge you need and can help with any further or detailed guidance that you may need; also please feel free to download, print this project series sheet and take into you retailer .
Ingredients
Chalk Paint - 1ltr Dove
Vintro Pure Bristle brush
Chalk Paint -125ml Cloudburst
Chalk Paint - 125ml Champagne Waltz
400ml Vintro Soft Wax
Vintro stirring stick
Lint free rags
Method
1. Prep - NONE with Vintro Chalk Paint. Stir Vintro Chalk Paint™ really well (it is thick) through to a creamy consistency 3. 1st Coat - Add 5-10% water, brush liberally in every direction with a Vintro Pure bristle brush to create a textured paint finish- Leave to dry 4. 1/2 Coat - Touch up any areas still showing wood, make sure to water down this coat by about 10 - 15% before applying - Leave to dry 5. Mix Cloudburst paint and clear wax on flat surface; about 40% paint to 60% wax and brush out over surface in sections about an A3 in size, wipe back gently with little pressure with a lint free rag 6. Mix Champagne Waltz and wax like step 5 and apply same way 7. You can further pull back wax with clear wax or wire wool, and for extra water protection on hard wearing areas use Vintro Lacquer
Note: To create a concrete look it is important to create texture in your paint finish to create texture. This texture is then brought out by the unique Vintro Coloured Waxes. Apply one coloured wax after the other, some of the colours may merge and mix a little and this is great as a Concrete look requires variation in colour. Tip: Brush the coloured wax out in all directions with little pressure, brush and spread the coloured wax thinly in sections. When wiping with lint free rag, use little to no pressure, almost like a "light dusting motion." After the wax has had about 30 mins air time you can then buff for a sheen. For surfaces like a dining table top or coffee table you may choose to finish with Vintro Matt Lacquer for extra protection which can be applied once the wax is cured. (7 days)
Hi Everyone, it's Dorophya here, most of you will know me better from Taylored Revival and some of the "How to Videos" here on the Vintro NZ website. Over the last few months we have been introducing and sharing with everyone the amazing products from Vintro in the UK. We have been showcasing everything from their highly pigmented Chalk Paints, metallic paints and Soft waxes. The Chalk Paint itself has been revolutionary with no sanding or priming and superior coverage (some would say amazing) available in the widest range of stunning colours which has seen it very quickly and passionately accepted in NZ. However Vintro actually has an amazing range and Chalk Paint is only a small part of what Vintro actually manufactures. Luxury Wall paints( arriving very shortly in NZ), metallics, waxes and lacquers; they really do have it all. For me its a complete system; that's easy to use and is the ultimate when it comes to Luxury DIY. For someone like me who paints daily and who loves to use the paints a little outside of the box, it absolutely blows my mind on all the amazing possibilities you can create for both an interior and exterior space. I've always loved paint and painting, the magic of a few cans, a few colours and the power that has to completely transform a space with a bit of imagination. In my journey of decorative painting I have used a lot of different types of paints from well regarded brands to the hardware store bought brands, and home made but when we came across Vintro it seriously sparked a creativity and excitement that made us look at decorative painting and colour with a completely different set of eyes. The creative scope and rich highly pigmented colours is like nothing I've ever worked with and really we have only scratched the surface with what Vintro as a whole is capable of in an interior and exterior space.
Today we received our latest shipment of paints from Vintro, and in this shipment low and behold included one of Vintro's latest products; Vintro Extreme™ Gloss Lacquer. With rave reviews from the UK, it's an outdoor grade gloss lacquer suitable for wet areas and outdoors, suitable for going over Chalk Paint as well as waxed finishes which I might add, is hard to find, a lacquer that goes over wax... that has always been a no, no, in the rule book but Vintro is not about doing things old school, their range really is genius and revolutionary.
Let me also first say that I have never really been a huge fan of gloss, not on furniture, it's often hard to achieve for the novice painter and I've never fancied teaching it my workshops or guiding our customers through it. It's like setting them up to fail and it often it looks like a thick layer of varnish type product/ poly that looks like the piece of furniture is covered in a layer of plastic. But that has just all changed and right now as I'm writing this blog on what has been a stunning spring day here in Auckland, I am literally flipping with excitement after using it. Without me turning this into a novel let me get straight into what I did today with Vintro's Extreme Gloss Lacquer.
Victim: Large Terracotta pot... why? because it's the opposite of gloss and there's alot of it around, it's an outdoor item that gets weather and terracotta as we all know leeches alot of water. I have alot of Chalk Painted Terracotta pots around some have aged and weathered well, some have aged less some more but they are all Matt as raw Chalk Paint is. Chalk Paint on it's own, it suitable for the outdoors, it breathes and holds onto the surface you paint it onto really well, but over time it will weather and age with it's environment and in some cases it's beautiful, and others not so much so it really depends on the look you are after. If you live in a cottage and want large character pots that have a bit of age to them, then painting them in Chalk Paint is perfect for you. Just paint and leave them and they will over time age and weather, if that's not really you then read on.
Colour: Vintro - Sunflower Yellow, the happiest colour in the Vintro range, bright and cheerful and on a hot clear blue sky type of day it has a relaxed tropical resort like feel to it. I've never been a yellow person, but I've seen so many projects by customers in this colour and this has inspired me to use it and now I'm a huge fan of Sunflower Yellow. I love it! Its a colour with presence and just brightens and changes the space it's in. It's a yellow; not a lime yellow and not a green yellow or even a mustard yellow. It's just a yellow, like a gumboot yellow. It's Vintro so of course it has rich beautiful pigments and I love the depth of the colour which is most prominent when you see shadows of leaves and foliage over it, you really get a sense of the incredible depth this colour has.
Application: This will be the shortest paragraph of this blog, I expected to do two coats of sun flower yellow given that terracotta is porous and would probably soak the paint up. I was wrong, it took 5 mins, if that, just one coat all around, it took beautifully and covered amazingly. For those who don't believe it, I took a video :-) Tip Load up your brush with paint always brushing and working with wet paint (on a wet edge) once the paint has started to dry don't over brush. Use a soft good quality brush. The video shows the pot being painted with Vintro Sunflower direct from the tin (no water) just a good stir then paint.
It was a stunning day out today in Auckland, usually you would leave Vintro Chalk Paint to dry and it should take approx anywhere from 20-40 mins to dry in NZ climate, all depends on the weather and how thick you apply it, knowing that you will be sealing with the Extreme gloss you want to make sure it is bone dry. Today that took about 10 mins on the deck today with the sun fully out to play.
Gloss Lacquer: I have taken a Video of it for you, but here's some things you may want to take note of: use a good quality synthetic brush, I have used one of Vintro's flat synthetic brushes, it's slightly tapered at the end with nice soft bristles for a more seamless application, load up your gloss lacquer and spread it out thinly, once you've spread it out, "feather" the lacquer by applying little pressure lightly feathering away any excess or build up as you go. The Gloss lacquer is light in consistency compared to the others, its very easy to apply and unlike some varnishes out there it does allow a few passes with the brush. Always work with wet Lacquer on a wet edge, don't brush out lacquer that is already starting to dry. Lacquer in sections. If you look back and find that you missed a bit, come back and get it on the second coat rather than brushing over Lacquer that is already drying. The second coat of gloss lacquer which I didn't video (sorry) is alot easier in the sense that you already have a glossy surface to apply it on, it glides on beautifully and uses even less product so pick up a small amount and spread you will feel it gliding over the first coat. I would always recommend 2 coats of lacquer as you are bound to miss on the first coat.
Results : I absolutely love it, it's taken the terracotta look away from it completely, and looks more like a glazed ceramic pot. It has a beautiful gloss finish (which is not surprising as it is a gloss lacquer) but it's not too much if that makes sense, it doesn't look like it's got a thick layer of gloss or plastic over it, it looks authentic and the gloss give adds a luxurious look and feel to it. Truly, my mind is flipping with all the possibilities of Vintro's new Extreme Gloss Lacquer.
For years our customers have used Chalk Paint on outdoor furniture and pots with the matt finish that raw Chalk Paint has. Along with the expectation for it to age and weather but now to have this option of a gloss finish is really exciting! Im thinking glossy front doors, pots of course, and also those pieces of furniture both indoors and outdoors where you want that luxurious gloss look to it. You can now achieve that with the added benefit of having a strong outdoor grade surface. I'm talking wet areas, vanities, coffee tables, tables. Colours like Cobalt blue or Victorian black with a gloss lacquer would provide a modern edgy and luxurious look to the piece . No sanding, No priming with Vintro Chalk Paint just choose one of the stunning 56 colours and just paint over whatever surface, give it 20-40 mins to dry, then apply your lacquer, it's a beautiful, rich and luxurious finish.... Luxury DIY made super easy.
Here are some close ups of the final result.... no judging my plant though! I love painting but am a terrible gardener! and yes the deck has had a wash of Vintro Pearl Chalk Paint but thats for another blog :-)
Lets first remind you of the before:
and then...
The yellow really is magnificent I love love love the depth of this yellow, the gloss was super easy to use and so satisfying watching it transform the matt Vintro Chalk Paint into a rich glass like finish. It just makes me so darn happy every time I see this yellow pot on my deck and glad I went with it, given that it's a bright bold yellow, it sits beautifully with all the greenery we have around our place.
So that's it from me, my first blog entry for Vintro. Hope you enjoyed reading it and no doubt I'll be back on here soon!

What a stunning make-over! Unfortunately there is no before photo for this one, but the original colour was a neutral tone. This stunning feature wall is in the entrance of our client Jacki's home. Jacki completed our Vintro "The blueprint for decorative painting workshop" with her retailer and afterwards was confident to use her new found skills on her entrance wall.
This wall transforms the space and sets the mood for the rest of Jackis home. The entrance way to your home is like an introduction, first impressions count! If your entrance way is feeling drab and lacklustre, a feature wall is a good way to add a spark and life back into your home.
Using Vintro's vibrant as ever Orchid, accompanied by Old Mauve in areas around the perimeter of the wall, Jacki created a textured master piece with depth and mood. Using her Staalmeester brush in circular motions, she started with Orchid. Then added the deeper Old Mauve wax, applying more around the edges and lightly feeding it into the middle blending and merging the two colours. This technique gives you a deep shadowed effect.
Vintro's Multi-pigmented Chalk Paints are perfect for creating a rich, textured feature wall you won't find anywhere else. The Chalk Paint really gives you the creative freedom to manipulate, and explore the textures and colours that best expresses you and your home. Wether it be a flat smooth and simple finish, or a bold bright or textural, its all possible with Vintro Chalk Paint.
An amazing transformation done by our client Megan. Megan wanted to update her front entrance door to a smooth black satin finish and wasn't sure what product to use between Chalk Paint or No Seal. We suggested she use the No Seal Chalk Paint.
This product is suitable for both outdoors and indoors and is self sealing so there is no need for wax or lacquer. It's advanced self levelling properties gives you a smooth, velvety, matt finish, with that signature multi-pigmented Vintro colour. Because Megan wanted a slight sheen on her door we suggested once she had finished with the No Seal, to go over the top with Vintro's Satin lacquer to give the door a beautiful Satin sheen.
Megan didn't have to sand or prime the surface before she started painting, just two thin coats of Vintro's No Seal in Victorian Black, making it super easy for her to transform and recreate her outdoor space. Just Gorgeous!
Everyone always says and asks, "does your home look just amazing, i bet it just looks amazing right"? I can see why people ask this, after all it is what I do for a living and something I love doing....decorative paint finishes, on furniture, floors and walls for clients, make a flat formica piece of nothing look like wood? sure, create washed marbly looking floors in a home, yep, make an old oak cabinet look like an aged metal cabinet... can do.. my job is to create beautiful bespoke feature pieces through paint finishes . I love manipulating paint and creating effects, in particular on furniture. The last 8 years I have had the privilege of working with paints pretty much every working day, and even in my holidays (by personal choice) and Im always learning always pushing to find out more. I've worked with many paints.... at the very beginning with oil based paints, tried to manipulate your regular house paints (some successes some failures), and then the discovery of chalk paints, the journey has always been about finding the best products for creating a wide range of finishes with the best results and in the easiest quickest and safest way. Like many of the Vintro NZ retailers I am now a huge ambassador for Vintro Luxury Paints after having discovered it, so let's be clear these blog entries will be biased and focused on Vintro Luxury Paints but it will also be honest. This year I have decided to put some order back into my home. 8 years of working most of it 6 to 7 days a week, raising a young family, along with some health hurdles and bumps along the way so in answer to the questions posed by my clients and customers noted at the start of this entry, the answer would be "Hell no...(of course I articulate this in a much more civilised way in person:-) my home over the years has become a testing station for paint. I've been spending my years making my clients furniture & home look beautiful :-) Three colours painted in the lounge, the toilet wall has about 6 different colours and various types of paints tested on it with vinyl splitting cracking and peeling on the floor, some rooms have paint tested the rest have just been neglected, you get the drift. I like to test my paints and finishes out in the real world, and my home is the perfect real world for me, with young kids, an indoor dog and a couple of rabbits that come in and out every now and then. Our home has been a victim to what I call the testing station the last 8 years, but is also the reason why we have gained all of this knowledge too, it's the only way I can feel confident in the products I use. Many products claim amazing things, for me though, if I'm going to recommend it Im going to use it, and not just in my paint studio, in my home, this is the only way I can back something wholeheartedly because it's not just about painting something beautiful it's about understanding the make up, the quality and wear and tear and how to care for things, things to be wary of and pointers for certain applications so that our customers can make an informed decision. Plus if Im going to the effort of making something beautiful I want it to last. Sometimes people think our paint is like this magical unicorn, I mean it is amazing but "can I put a boiling hot pot on it? ahh no," it's pretty amazing paint but not bullet proof, would you put a boiling hot pot on anything? . My home and what I call my testing station has been a great learning curve and has taught me so much about paint and paint applications for both decorative and function and I'm ready to share :-) This little old bach which we had big dreams of renovating when we first moved in 8 years has in 100% been neglected, 8 years ago was also the same time I got into decorative painting and it's a been a huge whirlwind since. So there couldn't be a better place to work on and do before and afters on, don't get me wrong, I do love our home even in it's shambled state, it's a reasonably organised shamble. A great outlook and spot, a minute walk from the beach with strong coastal vibes, paired with a large beautiful overgrown section...hmm that's putting it nicely, the reality is it's a bit of a overgrown jungle and some parts are a bit of a dumping ground; we have old pallets to clear along with a litany of other items! :-) it's a beautiful little place in the summer, and home is where it functionally works with your lifestyle and this place does that, but it is time we polished it up a bit.
(These 3 paint swatches have been here for about a year now)
Coming soon: The room that gets tested, the walls have loads of paint tested on it, the kids are great testing agents, work in progress, those nasty vinyl tiles were all cracked and gross and has just been pulled up ,those towels laid down because your feet would literally be stuck to the ground with the glue that's on there. It's the room no one likes to go into... its the one where you keep the doors closed shut when you have people over.... check out our next blog entry for the makeover of this one.
Vintro Luxury paints allows me to merge and blur the lines between my love of decorative painting on furniture and leading this into creating bespoke interiors, these effects can now be not just decorative but functional aka I can now do it on floors and walls etc.
Metallic Gold Splash Back... why not...coming soon I'm not talking about the white on white with black and grey, well maybe a little of that, because in reality I do love that also but focussing on areas where you can create something a little different, a little luxurious without a lot of effort using what you have in front you. This is what vintro@home blog entry is all about, i've challenged myself to make a start on this little bach, utilizing the existing layout, no structural changes and as minimal replacement on fixtures (unless necessary)... just paint. It's a humble little bach and I'm looking forward to spending some time and a little love on it. I love the mix of old and new, I love mixing textures in the home. I've always found it easy to help clients and customers in their homes working with their vision, putting it together for them, but when it comes to my own home I actually find it really really hard... because I love everything, industrial, french country, midcentury, moroccan and really our home calls for coastal but I want to mix it up a little, I love being bold and adventurous but sometimes I play it too safe, because I also love classic and tradition so it's a balancing act but when you have the freedom of colours and finishes you can be pretty adventurous.
From speckled formica to painted marble, yes again why not... we will be doing a review and break down of this on vintro@home soon Okay so we get so many questions around tiles... this is the before of our tired old tiles wait till you see the after... eee can't wait... don't laugh, those are painting work boots. We're a family that paints :-) that's the hubby and daughter working with Vintro on a chair at home, she's using it on her jewellery box and yep we will happily paint on the dining table with no drop cloth :-) We're busy people you know ....:-)
So it's time to get creative in my own home, and I've set myself this challenge and recording it through blog entries, I'm thinking by making it public it should motivate me even more to keep at it... right?...we shall see:-) So if you've read thus far thank you for doing so and wish me well on this journey we are calling vintro@home. It's actually quite hard to open up not just the pretty "after" photos but the before photos in a space that is so personal to you. I get a bit of anxiety over this as well as doing Videos for Vintro but this is the year to get over it :-) This page is also going to be dedicated to your projects at home so if you have some great photos and results please send them through Vintro Paint NZ to vintro@vintropaint.co.nz would love to feature it, (good photos being the key here, no half chopped blurry photos lol) to follow this journey look for the Vintro @ Home logo on the images/ blog entries to follow the story. Thanks for Reading the first entry and I'll catch you here next Monday! and if you have read down this far, Lucky you :-) I have the first before and after treat for you below :-) We can't do a first entry blog post without a little before and after now can we.... so here is a look at the Vanity that was in the bathroom no body wanted to go in, just a peek at the vanity for now, we'll get some photos of the entire room on here for you soon :-) Vanity in Chysler No Seal Chalk Paint: Vintro No Seal Chalk Paint is a beautiful, quick and fast easy paint suitable for both indoors and outdoors, ideal for those who are after a one colour flat and smooth finish, yes you can manipulate the classic "Vintro Chalk Paint" to be flat and smooth by adding a little water, but my thoughts are why would you, now that NZ has access to No Seal Chalk Paint? If I was to paint this in Chalk Paint I would have to follow with a wax or in this case a Vintro Lacquer to seal the porous paint and make it functional for use as a vanity, especially this one as the sink is so ridiculously small that often when the kids use it, water will spill over. Vintro No Seal Chalk Paint turns a two step process into one, it self levels for a stunning flat finish for even the novice painter. Designed to withstand direct sunlight, heat and water making it my paint choice for this Vanity. This literally took me less than 20 minutes to paint. Read on.
Painted in Vintro No Seal Chalk Paint, Handles and mirror in Artisan Company gilding wax.
Preparation: Vintro No Seal Chalk Paint Okay below is the glorious before photos, super 80's style, the size is ideal for a nice small toilet, i do like that about it Made of that really unattractive cheap white veneer and what do you know, they even made the handles to match! :-) beautiful metal toilet roll holder screwed to the side of it, with a super unfunctional tiny washbasin that would only be functional if my hands were the size of crackers. So it does often get water spills out down the front and the ample space on the basin top means it will "balance" not hold a soap dispenser, or could possibly hold a worn down almost to end, bar of soap. It has a lot going for it doesn't it, but as I said in the post earlier the challenge is not to replace but to make use of what's there.... With Vintro No Seal Chalk Paint it is recommended that anything super shiny or glossy gets scuffed down first, this wasn't that shiny so I only cleaned it down. I did however sand the edges of the cupboard doors in 80 grit sand paper this is wear it will bang the most when opening and closing so take care to make sure this area is not glossy or to be on the safe side, like me, just give it quick scuff, we're not talking sanding it right down but just a quick scuff to key it in. When painting something of this size I would recommend a Staalmeester flat brush no bigger than a 2 inch (another blog post is required on these amazing brushes) go for a full synthetic. I say no bigger than a 2 inch as it forces you to work in smaller sections, on a wet edge, and doesn't pick up loads of paint forcing you to work faster, pick a brush suitable to the size of your project, it's important. I unfortunately only had a 1 1/2 inch this day, which was fine but that's just means it took me a little slower to do.. you know, 20 minutes instead of maybe 10 or 15 mins :-) Once you have your Vintro No Seal Chalk Paint, Your flat brush, quickly scuffed any areas that need it, then your free to paint your heart out and experience the amazing coverage of Vintro
First coat, of Vintro Chrysler Chalk Paint - aaaaamazing.... to see a video of me brushing this out with a Staalmeester brush and that incredible Vintro coverage click here to view a video on the vintro@home instagram highlights
Now things are getting exciting... with Vintro No Seal Chalk Paint you get the incredible coverage of 19.5 sqm per litre which means this will take almost nothing out of a one litre tin, however although the coverage is great, and after one coat it can look complete, done and covered, you do still need two coats in my opinion. With a piece that will probably get cleaned down and maybe even scrubbed down. The two coats will provide a good layer of paint and strength for use (trust me I've just recently used a steelo on my no seal kitchen cupboard door) . So two coats, yes it took me 10 minutes to do one coat, left it to dry for an hour on a super hot NZ summers day then came back and did one more coat and that's it all done.
Handles: I was glad to be rid of the handles, yay! Handles can really just make the transformation and sometimes in my projects the handles can cost more than the paint itself but well worth it. Sometimes though like in this case the right coloured handles hardware can be super hard to find especially if you're trying to tie it in with something else, so I purchase a pair of 9687 knobs (available from Vintro retailers) and used the Artisan company gilding wax (also available from Vintro retailers) on them to add a different finish. This beautiful highly pigmented gilding wax is stunning to work with, basically rubbed it on the handle very lightly spreading thinly which is easy to do as it's super silky thin and pigmented then left to dry for about 20 minutes (the magic 20 minutes today) and came back and buffed lightly with a soft cloth to a shine. I did the same with the mirror above, allowing me to tie in the handles with my mirror here's the picture of the handle before using the artisan company's gilding wax
So that's it, Vintro No Seal, 2 coats left to dry and done, some new handles and some gilding wax for the handles and mirror... given that the basin is so small and really can't hold anything, I painted up your classic mahogany pedestal table and popped it to the side to hold a bit of greenery a soap dispenser and towel, keeping the basin top clear, those tables are so handy! I must admit I do love this cute little basin now, the taps however are bugging me now that I've painted it, so I think this calls for them to be painted next, might try to video that one for you, that's it from me take a look a below of the end results and my gosh if you've read this far down. Thank you!
