Can't decide on whether to go grey or black, how about doing both. Here's a beautiful piece which really demonstrates this combination so well. Painted firstly in Vintro Cloudburst Chalk Paint with subtle texture then with a Victorian Black coloured wax, using fine steel wool used to pull back (remove and highlight) the coloured wax, allowing it to gather around and accentuate the edges finished with a touch of silver. This Vintro paint finish and combo can be a really lovely deep and moody neutral, it can appear slightly industrial on the right piece and is a lovely edgy combination for a contemporary home with greys and blacks. For a more traditional or classic home use a little more texture and go heavier on the Victorian Black coloured wax to age and create a super moody vintage look. However you want to interpret it, if you're keen on this finish take this into your NZ Vintro Retailer this week to receive a complimentary demonstration how to create this finish.
