Regular price $0.00Harper is a local piece made of solid wood pine, revived and hand painted in the TR Studio as a merchandise table for the TR Gallery. Beautifully rustic and full of character a beautiful hand painted finish showcasing how age and rustic texture can be beautiful, elegant and opulent at the same time.
Hand painted firstly with texture using the Staalmeester Pure Bristle brush in Old Lace, brushed in all directions creating texture, with a couple of subtle dribbles of French Navy and Dante's Dream on the surface.
Victorian Black was then used over the top in a watered down coat then distressed right back. The finish was then aged using both dark and Victorian Black wax, the dark wax warming up the old lace giving a beautiful gold undertone, with Victorian Black allowing us to darken and shade in areas. Vintro metallic gold was used in areas to highlight detailing then distressed back along with metallic gold gilding wax.
The entire finish was then buffed with a rag to provide a polished shine to the finish, balancing off the rustic finish.
Overall a stunning character finish on what was a pine table, The piece is now in the TR Gallery as a merchandise table but could be available for sale, please get in touch if interested.
