When it comes to dark greens Gretel's Forest is one of our favs, a beautiful dark green that can be easily manipulated to suit. Deepen and Richen this gorgeous green with darker artisan waxes as shown here, it also lightens beautifully with lighter coloured artisan waxes too. The colour is also beautiful as it if using our Velvet Luxe hybrid chalk paint which requires no waxing or lacquering.

What we did:
Hand painted with subtle texture in Gretel's Forest including the hardware
Lightly brushed Artisan Classic gold on bevels and hardware, then distressed with steel wool
Sealed and Deepened with Artisan Carbon black wax, followed by dark wax in a selected areas
Pulled back and removed darker waxes in areas by applying Artisan Clear Wax over the top and wiping back with lint free rag allowing the darker coloured waxes to build up and gather around the corners and edges and also allow more of the Gretels Forest colour to come through
