Tips: with coloured waxes, work in big sections, then "feather" the excess off with a clean lint free rag and leave to dry. The coloured wax will set and harden.
If you want the colour to be more intense you can also apply two thin coats of coloured wax, or apply one coloured wax over the entire piece then mix a stronger coloured wax (with more paint) and use to darken bevels and detailing.
If you have created texture with your paint the coloured wax will sit in between the brush strokes and bring out the texture.
