Create a feature with a Pewter Finish
This week we are sharing the super edgy and contemporary pewter finish although this can also be aged further with darker waxes to give it an "old worldly" finish
What you will need :
1x Midnight 1 Litre
1x Staalmeester 20/20 brush
1x Vintro Metallic Silver
1x125ml Victorian black wax
1x Clear Wax
1) Paint your furniture in Midnight Chalk Paint as a base first
2) Mix Vintro Silver and Midnight together until you get a tone of Pewter that you like. (just a drop or two of Midnight will change the colour dramatically so slowly add the midnight and mix)
3) Paint two coats of your pewter mix feathering it on your piece of furniture, (if the first coat looks a bit patchy, don't worry the second coat will even out) the key here is to brush and spread around in every which way using your staalmeester brush or if you can The One brush by Staalmeester is great for metallics
4) Mix your left over Pewter paint with clear wax then add Victorian Black Chalk Paint to make a darker pewter wax, then brush over and wipe to create further depth.
Optional (detail with silver gilding wax)
