Our client had a little table made up of a glass table and a sentimental drum inserted in the centre. Having moved into a new contemporary home the piece no longer fit in with the new decor and they were saddened to have to get rid of the piece. They wanted the table to be able to sit with two leather butterfly chairs in an alcove looking out to expansive sea views.  Not wanting to get rid of the sentimental piece they asked if we could make it work with in the space. The challenge accepted.

Inspired by the Beach & Driftwood we hand painted the body of the drum in extreme texture with Vintro Pebble then detailed with Vintro dark, champagne waltz and cloudburst wax.  The top and bottom rims hand painted in Vintro Silver and detailed and stencilled with Vintro Metallic gold then aged with both Vintro dark and Midnight coloured wax. As well as adding a coastal touch to the piece we gave it   a mixed metal look  a nod to the history of the piece and where it came from. The drum although completely different now still has age, character and interest and has been redesigned to fit our clients new home providing another layer to the story of this piece. The legs of the table completed in Nightfall with Vintro dark wax and , a colour that has been pulled from another area of the home, finished with french gold gilding wax. Making the drum a completely bespoke and artful piece and we know will sit beautifully in the space thats been planned for it.

A great showcase of how you are only limited by your imagination.
