We often get asked, can you paint over a painted piece? The answer is yes you can with Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan, even over a waxed surface. A beautiful vintage style toy chest which was apart of our imported stock from the UK it was originally painted in Paris Grey but was never completely finished. It was then purchased by our client and we were commissioned to do this for her daughters room, who we included in the consultation process. The panels have been hand painted in Provence with the frame in Duck Egg blue. The panels have then been stencilled overlapping Annie Sloan's Petrushka stencil, overlaid and overlapped in various mixes of colours to give a faded vintage floral effect. The panels were then washed in Antibes Green. The internals detailed in a contrasting Napoleonic Blue. For that added special touch we have also installed a gold name tag. A lovely bespoke piece to be treasured for many more generations to come.
