A lovely piece created for our long time client who purchased this Antique Sideboard from us in 2015, back then we were commissioned to do a hand painted finish giving the piece an updated classic looked that worked in with the interior at the time. A special piece with wonderful history.
Our client has now redecorated and changed her interior space to a cleaner more contemporary style wanted to continue to use this special piece as a feature sideboard by changing and updating it to fit in with the new interior design.
A great showcase of how different colours and finishes evoke a different look and style and how you can re-imagine piece to take on a completely different persona.
Hand painted in Champagne Waltz a beautiful off white, using texture to add character and the look of an authentic painted wooden piece the end result wouldn't look too flat especially in white, then colour washed (by diluting paint and water 50/50) with Crystal Chalk Paint brushed on and lightly ragged off. Creating a beautiful crisp white finish with subtle variation and a stunning depth in the white. The handles and hinges have then all been detailed in Gold.
