A beautiful sideboard revived for our client. Inspired by an existing piece in the TR Gallery, the concept was clear, our client was after a neutral piece but in her colour way. We were provided a sample of the nearby curtains to adjust the colours to perfectly tone in with the fabric. Hand painted in a rustic and textured finish using Louis Blue, Old Violet, French Linen, and Old White , the piece has then been distressed and pulled back to softly expose the colours underneath. The handles have been replaced and re-installed with TR handles. The piece has been further accentuated with a champagne gilding wax by mixing Annie Sloans bright gold and silver gilding wax together. The internals have been finished in a beautiful soft blue by mixing Louis Blue and Paris Grey together. The entire piece finished with white wax. A great example of Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan used to revive a piece to perfectly fit back into place by drawing colours from the room it is being painted for. A lovely neutral piece that is anything but boring with plenty of depth and character.
