This stunning chest has been created to fit in with our client's Luxe bedroom suite, which was also being commissioned. Purchased from The Artisan Collection crafted out of solid wood mahogany and hand-painted in the TR Studio to fit in with our client's concept and style for the bedroom in our client's new home.
Hand-painted in a rustic textured finish using Cloudburst, Midnight with a dash of Stonebreaker and detailed in Victorian Black Wax and gold, all these neutrals can be found in our clients room and have been pulled together onto this piece, which will sit as the "character" piece in the room with layers and textures beautifully aged and a created patina for an old-worldly balanced off with a touch of luxe in the gold detailing.
What we did:
- Hand-painted in Cloudburst, Midnight and Stonebreaker Chalk Paint with subtle texture using a Staalmeester round series 2020 brush, and a pure bristle brush 3600 series.
- Deepened and aged using Victorian Black coloured wax over the top as well as sealing the finish.
- Gold gilding detailing using Gold Gilding wax from The Artisan Company
