A wonderful commission of the classic NZ Rimu sideboard completed to fit in with our clients dining room suite we completed previously. With a new Vintro Paint finish and TR fitted handles the piece takes on a lighter and softer look in keeping with our clients dining room suite and newly renovated space. A stunning Vintro metallic lustre has been applied providing a subtle shimmery lustre over the entire finish. Sideboards are great candidates for a Vintro Paint finish and really you can revive it into any colour and style you can imagine with Vintro and a handle change.
What we did:
Hand Painted in Aurora Chalk Paint with subtle texture
Coloured waxed in Stonebreaker
Metallic Lustre created by mixing Silver metallic paint with water, brushing it on and ragging it around whilst the wax was still wet.
Handles replaced with TR fluted iron handles
