Originally a dark solid piece of furniture our client wanted a revival for her entrance area. Inspired by a piece we were working on during her visit into the gallery. We decided to create a beautiful textured and rustic finish on this piece. Hand painted and textured with Honfleur, we then applied layers and blends of Louis Blue, Provence and Aubusson, a touch of Florence and Paris Grey, detailed with clear and dark wax and further enhanced with a mix of bright and warm gold and bright silver gilding waxes. The handles have been replaced, re-fitted and gilded. The internals have been completed in a Louis Blue mix. This piece is now a gorgeous bespoke piece which will sit beautifully in our clients entrance as a stand alone feature piece.
