This stunning chest of drawers has been created to fit in with our client's Luxe bedroom suite, which was also being commissioned. Purchased from The Artisan Collection crafted out of solid wood mahogany and hand-painted in the TR Studio to fit in with our client's concept and style for the bedroom in our client's new home.
Midnight has been chosen which is a great alternative over Victorian Black, with a softer, earthier neutral but still providing that rich moody dark look. The colour selected for the drawers are different from the bed but has been connected back to the bed by using Victorian Black wax to tie everything together. The gold gilding detailing has allowed us to enhance the finish and add a luxe touch to this soft but striking look.
What we did:
- Hand-painted in Midnight Chalk Paint with subtle texture using a Staalmeester round series 2020 brush.
- Deepened and aged using Victorian Black coloured wax over the top as well as sealing the finish.
- Gold gilding detailing using Gold Gilding wax from The Artisan Company
