Commissioned chair and table set in Country Grey
Our lovely client had this gorgeous set in her home that she wanted revived. The set consisted of a solid pedestal table and mahogany tub chairs which as original did not completely match; however we knew that with a good colour pairing the set would make a beautiful revival. The chairs had recently been recovered in a gorgeous textile prior to coming to us and as such we took inspiration from the textile and chose "country grey" a colour that would also tie in beautifully with the room they were going into, a french provincial inspired finish was agreed upon and a slight repair was also required on one arm. We were so excited to start this project that we forgot to take the before photos. We did however find one picture of one of the chairs prior to revival.
Hand painted in country grey with careful brushwork adding texture and depth. Lightly distressed by hand, detailed and aged using clear and dark wax. What was previously a dark wood set has now been revived into a beautiful modern light set enhancing the gorgeous textile and craftsmanship. A beautiful set that will now take it's place back into the room and certainly a revival we will be very proud of.
