Alden is a solid wood, Classically shaped book case. Previously painted in a beachy Blue and White for a Cottage style, he is a perfect example of the freedom of colour you have when reviving furniture in Chalk Paint. Tired of the colour scheme? Just Paint straight over it! He has been revived in a rustic finish with a very industrial edge given to his look through the use of Black wax for detailing. This overall look was created by using extremely textured brushwork and layering a myriad of colours. We had used distressing techniques with both scrapers and sandpaper to pull back these layers to to reveal hints of all of these colours underneath; Vintros bright colours like Esmeralde, Sunflower, Valentine and Deep Saffron as a textured base coat with a darker more neutral colour like Stonebreaker over top, will help you achieve a similar finish
